English
This paper presents a forecasting approach integrated into SMARTEN v2, a computational platform for multiscale supervision of hybrid energy systems. It jointly forecasts renewable production and electricity consumption across building, district, and city scales using only 4 days of data, enabling real-time energy management rather than mere monitoring. Results show robust accuracy at low computational cost, supporting demand-side management, renewable integration, and large-scale multi-energy flow control in data-scarce environments.

In the global GX context
Globally, this work addresses the data-scarcity barrier in urban energy forecasting, relevant to grid operators and cities pursuing renewable integration and demand-side flexibility. It complements disclosure-side frameworks (TCFD/ISSB) by strengthening the operational data layer that underpins credible Scope 2 and energy-transition claims.

📄 Abstract(原文)

Abstract

The accelerating deployment of renewable energy generation and the increasing complexity of electric consumption in urban built environments impose strong demands on predictive energy management tools. This paper presents a novel forecasting approach integrated into the SMARTEN v2 platform, a computational framework originally designed for multi scale supervision of hybrid energy systems. Unlike conventional forecasting approaches requiring extensive historical datasets and tailored to isolated subsystems, the proposed model supports joint forecasting of multi scale renewable energy production and electricity consumption across building, district and city scale contexts, while operating with 4 days data. This data efficient paradigm enables real time energy pilotage rather than mere supervision, addressing environments with limited measurement infrastructure or incomplete production and consumption records. The model, built on a persistence logic tailored to our forecasting context, features scalability and a unified code base that enable deployment across interconnected built environments from individual buildings to neighborhoods, cities, and even national scale systems. This capability addresses a major gap in current research and practice in energy forecasting. Empirical results demonstrate robust predictive accuracy and low computational cost, enabling decision support for demand side management, renewable integration, and large scale multi energy flow control. The main contributions include a lightweight forecasting engine embedded in an operational energy management tool, capability for simultaneous production and consumption forecasting across multiple scales with minimal data, and scalability to large territorial systems within a unified platform. This research advances the state of the art in multi scale, data lean energy forecasting for urban energy systems.
