This study estimates optimal internal carbon prices for forest management in northeast China, balancing timber production and carbon sequestration. By incorporating internal carbon prices into decisions on forest rotation and harvesting, it quantifies the trade-off between economic returns and climate benefits. The methodology supports forest-based carbon projects and carbon offset schemes.
