📄 Abstract(原文)
Arctic energy systems are in transition. This transition is driven by the dual need to meet global reductions in greenhouse gas emissions while simultaneously ensuring a sustainable, affordable, and reliable energy supply to remote regions. Many Arctic nations are actively pursuing local, renewable energy solutions to ensure energy security in northern and remote regions. While growth in onshore renewable energy, such as wind and solar, is advancing rapidly, there is also emerging interest in the potential for expanding Arctic offshore renewable energy production. In comparison to the onshore renewable energy sector, however, the nature and potential of offshore renewable energy technologies have received only limited attention in Arctic energy futures. This chapter examines current and potential clean energy projects in the Arctic and northern offshore context.
