English

CarbonCreditBuy is an open-source geospatial platform that estimates tree-based carbon removal on farmland using Earth-observation layers (ESA WorldCover, Sentinel-2 NDVI/NDMI) and configurable parameters, applying IPCC 2006 Tier 1 (Tier 2 with measured diameter via Chave et al. 2014) to produce low-central-high ranges with confidence grades and provenance. Nine deterministic agents explain results under six guardrails, with an optional LLM limited to rephrasing redacted text. A policy engine screens programmes and tree-age rules for India, the US and the EU. All outputs are scenario estimates, not certified credits.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters

In the global GX context

Globally, this work addresses the growing need for transparent, verifiable carbon removal estimation in agriculture, aligning with ISSB/CSRD disclosure requirements and voluntary carbon market integrity initiatives. Its open, explainable design and policy screening for multiple jurisdictions offer a model for bridging farm-level data with programme eligibility.

Provides an open, reproducible framework for estimating tree-based carbon removal with uncertainty ranges and provenance, useful for studying MRV and policy screening.

Enables farmers and advisors to pre-screen land for carbon programme eligibility and estimate potential removal, though outputs are not certified credits.

Offers a transparent tool for assessing programme rules and tree-age criteria across jurisdictions, supporting evidence-based policy design.

📄 Abstract(原文)

CarbonCreditBuy is an open-source, self-hostable geospatial platform that helps farmers, landowners, advisors and researchers estimate how much carbon the trees on one piece of land may remove, and what evidence is still missing before a recognised carbon or environmental programme could issue any credit. Users mark land on a map (boundary, freehand pen, rectangle, circle, tree line, pin with area, typed coordinates, or imported GeoJSON/KML/CSV/LAS/LAZ files). Deterministic engines combine Earth-observation layers (ESA WorldCover land cover, Copernicus Sentinel-2 NDVI/NDMI) with configuration-driven parameters, each carrying a source and a verification status, to compute IPCC 2006 Tier 1 gain-loss estimates (Tier 2 with measured diameter using Chave et al. 2014) as low-central-high ranges with a confidence grade and provenance. A policy engine screens programmes and tree-age rules for India, the United States and the European Union. A team of nine deterministic agents explains results under six guardrails; an optional OpenAI-compatible language model may only rephrase redacted text. Explanations use one-at-a-time sensitivity re-runs of the engine rather than a learned model. Every output is a scenario estimate, not a carbon credit (certified: false). Demo mode uses synthetic data; agreement with field measurements has not yet been evaluated.
