📄 Abstract(原文)

Abstract Jharkhand, a state endowed with rich natural resources, has significant potential for renewable energy generation, particularly in solar, biomass, and small hydro sectors. However, despite various initiatives undertaken by the Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA), the growth of renewable energy remains limited. This study critically examines the technological and financial barriers hindering renewable energy development in Jharkhand and provides policy recommendations to strengthen JREDA’s implementation strategies. The research identifies key technological barriers such as inadequate grid infrastructure, limited local technical expertise, and challenges in adopting advanced energy storage and smart grid technologies. Financial constraints, including high initial investment costs, limited access to green finance, and insufficient public–private partnerships, also restrict the large-scale deployment of renewable energy projects. Additionally, policy fragmentation, regulatory delays, and low investor confidence further exacerbate the problem. Through a review of secondary data, government reports, and stakeholder perspectives, this paper highlights the need for an integrated policy framework that promotes technological innovation, financial incentives, and capacity building. Recommendations include the establishment of a dedicated renewable energy fund, enhancement of JREDA’s technical training programs, promotion of decentralized solar solutions, and the creation of favorable tariff mechanisms to attract private investment. Strengthening collaboration between government bodies, research institutions, and industries can also accelerate sustainable energy transitions in the state. By addressing these barriers, Jharkhand can move toward achieving its renewable energy targets, ensuring energy security, and contributing to India’s broader commitment to sustainable development and climate resilience.
