This dataset shows the month-by-month diffusion of national net-zero emissions pledges (with target years ranging from 2040 to 2060) among countries, tracking the date on which each country announced or adopted its first net-zero commitment. It constitutes the supplementary data underlying part of the analysis presented in 'Under the Cascade: The EU, Norm Diffusion, and the Politics of Net-Zero by 2050,' published in JCES.
