This paper empirically analyzes how climate transition (energy dependency and renewable energy structure) affects the transmission of monetary policy to the real economy using panel data from 18 emerging markets (2003-2024). It finds that higher renewable energy shares may alter the effectiveness of monetary policy, highlighting the need for coordination between climate and monetary policies.
