📄 Abstract(原文)

The energy transition offers a critical opportunity to design systems that prioritize equity, sustainability, and resilience. However, the integration of equity considerations into energy planning remains a significant challenge due to the complexity of balancing diverse stakeholder needs, technological constraints, and systemic impacts. This dissertation presents a framework for understanding stakeholder values and visions for the energy transition and integrating these values as metrics into optimization models to develop equitable energy systems, with a focus on using energy storage technologies to enhance autonomy, reliability and resilience during the transition. The dissertation follows a three-paper structure, consisting of three distinct but thematically related essays that collectively address the central topic.
