📄 Abstract(原文)

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is emerging as a critical pathway for achieving large-scale reduction of industrial CO₂ emissions. As CCS value chains grow in complexity—spanning capture facilities, conditioning and compression units, transportation infrastructures, and offshore storage sites—the need for integrated monitoring, training, and operational support becomes increasingly essential. The COREu project addresses this need through the development of an Industrial Metaverse Platform, a unified 3D immersive environment that integrates digital twins, AI-driven analytics, IoT-based monitoring, and AR/VR/MR interfaces to support safe and efficient CCS operations. The scope of this work is to design, implement, and validate a modular Metaverse environment that supports training, real-time monitoring, stakeholder collaboration, and visualization of CCS processes along the entire value chain. This extended abstract presents the methodology and initial research outcomes of the first development phase, including the construction of representative digital twins, the design of a CO₂ monitoring dashboard, the integration of seismic baseline datasets for the Prinos storage area, and the early development of IoT-driven interactions and VR-based operational walkthroughs.
