📄 Abstract(原文)

Gas–liquid absorption is a widely applied technique for capturing carbon dioxide in large-scale industrial processes. In the present study, the absorption of carbon dioxide into an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution is analyzed using a wetted wall column. A clear understanding of absorption rate and mass transfer coefficient is crucial for the effective design of absorption equipment. The influence of key operating parameters, including carbon dioxide loading, gas flow rate, and liquid flow rate, on absorption performance is systematically investigated. A total of 18 experimental runs were carried out with CO₂ concentrations ranging from 10% to 26% and sodium hydroxide concentrations of 0.5 M and 1 M. The results demonstrate that both solvent concentration and flow conditions play a significant role in enhancing the mass transfer coefficient and overall absorption efficiency. Improved absorption performance was observed at higher sodium hydroxide concentration and suitable flow conditions. These findings contribute to the better design and optimization of gas–liquid absorption systems for efficient carbon dioxide capture
