This deliverable reviews the Carbon Farming MED tool developed under Activity 3.4, assessing its ability to support Mediterranean carbon farming projects through the full Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) process. The evaluation examines the tool’s functionality, methodological consistency, and readiness to support project developers working under the Verra VM0042 methodology, while considering future alignment with the Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming Certification Regulation (CRCF). The review was based on iterative testing with the development team and validated using real-world farm data provided by Azolla Projects. The findings identify the tool’s current strengths, limitations, and the improvements required before it can reliably support operational carbon farming projects in the Mediterranean region.
