English
JUSTICE-ABM couples an Integrated Assessment Model (IAM) with an Agent-Based Model (ABM) to simulate interactions among public opinion, government climate policy, and climate-economic outcomes. It explores how voter attitudes influence mitigation policy trajectories and long-term emissions pathways, with feedback loops across policy, emissions, climate, and opinion. Reproducibility scripts for data generation and visualization are included.

In the global GX context
Globally, this model contributes to the growing literature on socio-political dimensions of climate policy, moving beyond techno-economic IAMs. It offers a reproducible toolset for researchers and policymakers to explore how public opinion shapes mitigation pathways, relevant to NDC updates and long-term strategy design under the Paris Agreement.

📄 Abstract(原文)
The JUSTICE-ABM model is a coupled Integrated Assessment Model (IAM) and Agent-Based Model (ABM) designed to simulate the interaction between public opinion, government climate policy, and climate-economic outcomes. This is an anonymized version of the repository. The model explores how voter attitudes toward climate change influence mitigation policy trajectories and long-term emissions pathways. The model comprises 3 interacting components, with feedback among policy, emissions, climate change, and public opinion.: Integrated Assessment Model (JUSTICE-IAM) –> Simulates economic growth, emissions, and climate change. Agent-Based Model (JUSTICE-ABM) –> Represents voters and governments that determine mitigation policy. Projection module –> Generates future projections used by voters to evaluate policy options. For reproducibility of the results and figures of the paper, please refer to: - To reproduce the simulation data, scripts are in `analysis/justice_abm/data_generation`. - To reproduce the figures, provided that the simulation data has been generated and is imported, scripts are in `analysis/justice_abm/vizualizations`.
