📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
Offers a transparent, evidence-graded readiness framework that complements global CCS project pipelines and transition-finance due diligence in emerging markets. Its explicit gap-reporting and grade-sensitivity design is a model for disclosure infrastructure beyond Africa.
📄 Abstract(原文)
The AfriCCS Readiness Atlas is an open, interactive web application that assesses readiness for carbon capture and geological CO₂ storage (CCS) across 55 African countries and territories. It was developed at the Net-Zero Carbon Emission Lab (NCEL), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, and is deployed at africcs.ncelknust.org . The atlas rates each country on eight dimensions in two profiles. The opportunity profile covers storage geology evidence, source–sink proximity and infrastructure. The enabling profile covers policy and regulation, domestic storage law, institutions and skills, finance, and public acceptance. Every value traces to a dated source in an evidence register of 528 records. Each record is graded A (primary source), B (verified secondary source), C (structured expert judgement), D (proxy or preprint) or X (no data). Missing evidence is never imputed: the atlas shows it as a gap and separates evidence reported as absent from evidence that was searched for and not found. Countries are compared only when at least five of the eight dimensions are backed by A- or B-graded evidence. Thresholds of four and six are provided as a sensitivity check, and users can choose which evidence grades count. Instead of a single league table, the atlas reports rank ranges from 20,000 stochastic multicriteria draws, using random weights and grade-dependent score uncertainty, alongside a common-set dominance comparison. The application includes: an interactive Africa map with selectable views country profiles showing the level, grade and determining source for each dimension rank-range comparisons of the opportunity and enabling profiles a method page full downloads of the evidence register and data workbook in CSV and XLSX formats It is a static, client-side application with no backend, cookies, tracking or third-party requests, and its builds are reproducible from the evidence register. Status: This is a provisional research release. Rubric coding was done by a single analyst, and second-reviewer checks are pending.
