As digital technologies continue to transform the global energy landscape, blockchain emerges as a pivotal innovation enabling decentralization, transparency, and peer-to-peer energy trading. However, the integration of blockchain into energy systems raises critical questions of equity, inclusion, and justice. This chapter explores how the principles of energy justice can be applied to blockchain-based energy infrastructures to ensure equitable access and avoid reinforcing existing inequalities. Using theoretical frameworks, global case studies, and policy analysis, we examine challenges and opportunities in designing blockchain-enabled systems that serve marginalized communities and promote inclusive energy futures.
