This paper proposes a low-carbon optimal scheduling model for a park-level virtual power plant integrating the full cement production process with carbon capture, power-to-gas, and CHP/gas boiler units. A cross-domain multi-time-shifting flexibility mechanism using solvent storage, production inventories, and kiln flue gas storage is established and solved as a MILP. Case studies show a 33.90% reduction in the penalty-inclusive objective, with renewable curtailment and daily net carbon emissions falling by 98.87% and 23.16%, respectively.

📄 Abstract(原文)
To address the scheduling challenge in industrial parks with high renewable penetration, where limited renewable accommodation coexists with increasingly stringent low-carbon constraints, this paper proposes a low-carbon optimal scheduling model for a park-level virtual power plant considering cement production process coupling and cross-domain time-shifting flexibility. The model integrates a carbon capture power plant, power-to-gas, combined heat and power/gas boiler units with adjustable heat-to-power ratios, electrical and thermal energy storage, and the full cement production process within a unified framework. It explicitly characterizes the coupling among electricity, heat, gas, carbon, and production flows, as well as production-inventory dynamic constraints. In addition, a cross-domain multi-time-shifting flexibility mechanism is established using a solvent storage tank on the carbon capture side, multiple inventories on the production side, and a kiln-tail flue gas storage tank on the environmental protection side. Case studies show that, compared with the benchmark scenario, the full-flexibility scenario reduces the penalty-inclusive objective by 33.90%. At the same dispatch solutions, the modeled cost excluding curtailment penalties decreases by 20.52%, while electricity purchasing cost, renewable curtailment, and daily net carbon emissions decrease by 88.94%, 98.87%, and 23.16%, respectively. The proposed model provides a practical reference for low-carbon operation and coordinated flexible scheduling of industrial park virtual power plants. Logical and bounded coupling constraints are linearized exactly, and the nonlinear functions are piecewise linearized on adjacent breakpoints, yielding a mixed-integer linear program solved with Gurobi through YALMIP.
