English
This study bridges academic theory and corporate practice by analyzing the intersection of carbon emissions, carbon taxation, and supply chain inventory models (SCIM). Using Main Path Analysis on 3,359 papers (1995-2025), it identifies 41 research clusters, including green logistics and circular economy. Contextualizing with Acer's carbon-neutral Vero laptop series and Scope 3 strategies, it offers strategic insights for multinationals balancing sustainability and economic viability.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
This paper contributes to global GX scholarship by linking supply chain decarbonization with green inflation, a growing concern under ISSB and CSRD frameworks. The Main Path Analysis offers a systematic view of research trends, while Acer's practices provide a concrete example of Scope 3 management in the tech sector.

📄 Abstract(原文)

Abstract

In the global pursuit of net-zero emissions, corporate commitments to decarbonization have become imperative. However, this transition is increasingly challenged by "green inflation"—the rising cost of sustainable materials, green energy, and regulatory compliance. This study bridges academic theory and corporate practice by analyzing the intersection of carbon emissions, carbon taxation, and supply chain inventory models (SCIM). Utilizing a dataset of 3,359 papers retrieved from the Web of Science (WOS) database spanning 1995 to 2025, we employ Main Path Analysis (MPA) with the Search Path Link Count (SPLC) algorithm to trace the evolutionary trajectory and critical paradigms of this research domain. Our network analysis identifies 41 distinct research clusters, with a detailed focus on the top ten most influential groups. These clusters span green logistics, green technology investments, defect reduction, and circular economy integration. By contextualizing these academic findings with the real-world sustainable initiatives of Acer Inc.—specifically its carbon-neutral Vero laptop series, "Earthion" sustainability platform, and Scope 3 supply chain decarbonization strategies—this paper provides a robust theoretical foundation and actionable strategic insights for multinational corporations striving to reconcile environmental sustainability with economic viability.
