Proposes a multi-period low-carbon optimal scheduling model for a multi-energy hub (electricity, heating, cooling, gas) incorporating a linear carbon pricing scheme. Formulated as mixed-integer nonlinear programming minimizing total operational cost including energy procurement, fuel, and carbon trading. Results show the tiered linear carbon price achieves greater emission cuts, flexibility, and renewable accommodation than uniform pricing.

📄 Abstract(原文)

Multi-energy hubs (MEHs) have an effective role in facilitating carbon-neutral energy systems by enabling the coordinated operation of electricity, heating, cooling, and gas systems, and promoting the high penetration of renewable energy sources (RES). To ensure low-carbon operation, it is imperative to develop efficient carbon pricing mechanisms that facilitate optimal dispatch decisions. This paper proposes a multi-period low-carbon optimal scheduling model for a MEH that incorporates a linear carbon pricing scheme. The optimization problem is formulated as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming with the objective of minimizing total operational cost, including energy procurement, fuel consumption, and carbon trading costs. The linear carbon pricing mechanism imposes gradually increasing penalties on carbon emissions exceeding allocated quotas. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach accomplishes substantial emission reductions, improves operational flexibility, and facilitates more accommodation of RES in comparison to a uniform carbon pricing model. The proposed framework provides an optimization-based tool for integrating carbon market mechanisms into the MEH operation.
