English
This study applies publication-grouped machine learning to a harmonised literature dataset on CO₂-assisted thermochemical conversion of plastic waste, assessing transferable yield patterns and the predictive role of CO₂ concentration. CO₂ offers detectable but context-dependent predictive value, while temperature is the most consistent descriptor. A screening-level carbon break-even analysis shows most scenarios offset additional heating emissions, but failure rates rise with energy carbon intensity.

📄 Abstract(原文)
CO₂-assisted thermochemical conversion offers a promising opportunity to couple plastic-waste valorisation with CO₂ utilisation in the context of low-carbon and net-zero development. Here, publication-grouped machine learning was applied to a harmonised literature dataset to evaluate transferable product-yield patterns and the predictive contribution of CO₂ concentration across independent studies. CO₂ provided detectable but context-dependent predictive information, while reaction temperature remained the most consistently influential descriptor. A screening-level carbon break-even analysis was further used to assess whether reported CO₂ consumption could offset the additional heating emissions associated with the higher temperatures used for CO₂-assisted conversion relative to conventional inert-atmosphere pyrolysis. Across the selected thermal and energy-supply scenarios, most condition–parameter combinations met the break-even criterion, while an increasing fraction failed to offset the additional heating emissions as energy carbon intensity increased. The framework integrates literature-derived machine learning with carbon assessment to evaluate both the predictive and carbon relevance of CO₂-assisted plastic conversion.
