This case study evaluates the impact of submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) on blue carbon fluxes in the Beilun River Estuary, a transboundary estuary between China and Vietnam. It highlights the role of SGD in transporting nutrients and carbon, influencing coastal carbon cycling. The findings contribute to understanding coastal carbon budgets and have implications for blue carbon ecosystem conservation and management as climate mitigation.
