Sub-Saharan Africa faces significant energy access challenges and the fast-growing youth demographic is feeling the negative impact directly. Energy policy development in the region do not consider youth voices adequately, and in fact one might argue, not at all. This paper explores practical plans to include the youth as both a key contributor to policy decisions, and also as a key stakeholder in a future inclusive energy policy framework leading to improved energy access.
