📄 Abstract（原文）

The Open Grid Emissions Initiative seeks to fill a critical need for high-quality, publicly-accessible, hourly grid emissions data that can be used for GHG accounting, policymaking, academic research, and energy attribute certificate markets. The initiative includes this repository of open-source grid emissions data processing tools that use peer-reviewed, well-documented, and validated methodologies to create the accompanying public dataset of hourly, monthly, and annual U.S. electric grid generation, GHG, and air pollution data. This dataset is built on the EPA's eGRID dataset as a foundation but reflects many incremental improvements to data quality and data granularity.  NOTE : The 2025 early release data is based on the early release versions of the input EIA datasets for 2025, which do not contain the final, complete, or fully-validated versions of the data that will be released later in the fall. EIA warns against aggregation of this early release data, so the OGE early release dataset only contains plant and subplant-level data, and no regional aggregations at this point. Individual data files for specific regions / data types can alternatively be accessed directly via the OGE data download page .  Data Structure data/outputs contains intermediate outputs from the data pipeline (any files created by our code that are not final results) data/results contains all final output files that will be published Release Notes The 2005-2025 (early release) data archived here was created by v0.8.0 of the Open Grid Emissions Initiative, archived on Zenodo here .
