📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
As ISSB/ISSB-aligned disclosure pushes companies to quantify upstream and building-related emissions, this work shows how ML surrogates can make early-stage carbon assessment fast and repeatable. It adds a Global South empirical case to the emerging literature linking BIM-based carbon accounting with disclosure-ready data pipelines.

📄 Abstract(原文)
The construction industry’s contribution of up to 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions makes controlling and optimizing carbon footprints during the preliminary design stage crucial for achieving sustainability goals. To effectively mitigate this environmental impact, a comprehensive evaluation must encompass both material-related Embodied Carbon and energy-related Operational Carbon. This study proposes an integrated process combining 6D BIM building information modeling, Autodesk Insight simulation tools, and machine learning algorithms to analyze and predict total carbon emissions for the SHB Bank building in Da Nang. Through the development of parametric models in Autodesk Revit, the study performs multi-scenario simulations of the building envelope system to extract quantitative data on operational and integrated carbon. This dataset is then used to train and validate machine learning models on the Weka platform to determine the most accurate predictive algorithm based on correlation coefficients and absolute error. The research results not only identified the optimal material combination to minimize the carbon footprint in Da Nang’s tropical climate, but also established an intelligent predictive model. This model helps architects quickly predict the total carbon emissions of a building without repeating complex simulation processes, thereby promoting data-driven design decision-making towards a Net Zero goal for modern urban infrastructure.
