This dataset supports the study entitled “Whole-ecosystem blue carbon stocks in a small-island mangrove system of Metinaro, Timor-Leste.” The dataset contains field and laboratory measurements of mangrove vegetation structure, aboveground biomass, belowground biomass, necromass, litter, and soil organic carbon. Soil samples were collected from three sediment depth intervals: 0–10 cm, 10–30 cm, and 30–50 cm. The dataset also includes carbon stock estimates, carbon dioxide equivalent values, mangrove species information, plot-level measurements, and statistical analysis results. The data were collected from thirteen 10 m × 10 m vegetation plots in the Metinaro mangrove ecosystem, Timor-Leste. These data support the assessment of whole-ecosystem blue carbon distribution and variation among carbon pools, sediment depths, and mangrove species.
