Abstract This study investigates the global renewable energy market through an integrated framework that combines capacity statistics, investment indicators, market-design literature, policy analysis and technology-segment assessment. The report evaluates the transition from renewable energy as a subsidised alternative to renewable energy as a dominant infrastructure market shaping electricity prices, industrial competitiveness, climate resilience and energy security. The evidence base includes international renewable capacity data, market forecasts, electricity generation indicators, investment trend evidence and peer-reviewed studies on auctions, subsidies, green bonds, community demand modelling, intermittency hedging, hydrogen, marine energy and third-party cooperation.
