In the global GX context

This research highlights the role of housing cooperatives in the energy transition, a topic underexplored in mainstream GX discourse. 📄 Abstract(原文)

This webinar presents key findings from the ENBLOC (ENaBLing energy transition in postsocialist hOusing Cooperatives) research project, focusing on the experiences, attitudes, and living conditions of residents of housing cooperatives in Czechia and Poland. The presentation draws on a research design combining a cross-national resident survey, desk research, and interviews with key stakeholders from the housing and energy sectors. It explores housing conditions, energy poverty, thermal comfort, renewable energy adoption, collective decision-making, and trust in housing institutions. Special attention is paid to the opportunities and barriers that housing cooperatives face in the energy transition, as well as to residents’ willingness to participate in energy-related investments and governance. The webinar contributes to understanding how housing cooperatives can support sustainable energy transitions in post-socialist countries. The webinar is in Czech language. Enabling energy transition in postsocialisthousing cooperatives funded by National Science Centre, Poland, under the OPUS call in the Weave programme (2021/43/I/HS4/03185) and Czech Science Agency (nr GF23-04341L).
