In the context of the global transition to a sustainable economic development model, commercial banks play a key role in mobilizing financial resources for environmentally oriented projects. Green finance is becoming an important tool for mitigating climate risks and stimulating sustainable investment. This article examines modern green finance mechanisms in commercial banks, analyzes international standards and practices for their application, and identifies the main challenges and limitations to the development of this area. Based on the analysis, directions for improving green finance mechanisms in banks are substantiated, aimed at increasing the efficiency of capital allocation, reducing greenwashing risks, and strengthening investor and borrower confidence.
