English

This review systematically organizes research trends on zero-carbon industrial parks, comparing international LCA-based carbon accounting with China's policy frameworks such as NEA Document No. 910. It synthesizes construction pathways integrating upstream measures like electricity substitution and energy decarbonization with downstream measures like carbon capture and process transformation, and highlights emerging explorations including hydrogen applications and digital carbon measurement. Through comparative case analysis, it distills lessons on policy, technology, and market mechanisms, and outlines future research directions.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters

In the global GX context

Globally, this review contributes to the discourse on industrial decarbonization by comparing LCA-based carbon accounting with policy-driven approaches, relevant to ISSB and CSRD alignment. The focus on zero-carbon industrial parks offers insights for transition finance and climate disclosure, as companies seek to align with international standards. The synthesis of pathways, including CCUS and hydrogen, provides a framework for policymakers and practitioners.

📄 Abstract(原文)

Driven by the dual-carbon strategic goals, the development of new power systems has created unprecedented opportunities for low-carbon transformation of industrial parks. Zero-carbon industrial parks, serving as crucial platforms for energy structure optimization and green industrial upgrading, have progressively emerged as focal points in both domestic and international research and practice. This paper systematically reviews recent research advances concerning zero-carbon industrial parks, with particular emphasis on comparing international carbon accounting approaches based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) with China's policy frameworks such as the National Energy Administration Document No. 910, revealing distinctive characteristics in their application scope, system boundary definitions, orientations, and practical implementations. The study further synthesizes major construction pathways for zero-carbon industrial parks, encompassing upstream energy structure adjustments centered on electricity substitution and energy source decarbonization, downstream emission reduction measures represented by carbon capture and process transformation, as well as emerging explorations including hydrogen energy applications, digital carbon measurement, and monitoring platforms. Through comparative analysis of representative domestic and international cases, this paper distills key experiences and trends in policy frameworks, technological innovations, and market mechanisms for zero-carbon industrial park development. Finally, future research directions are prospected, emphasizing the necessity for in-depth investigation into international regulation alignment, comprehensive life-cycle carbon accounting methodologies, and the strategic role of power enterprises in zero-carbon industrial parks, thereby supporting green transformation and sustainable development of industrial parks within the context of new power systems.
