📄 Abstract（原文）
Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) are emerging as a feasible mechanism to promote collective participation in renewable energy systems. However, ensuring inclusive participation remains a significant challenge, as vulnerable individuals may face economic, social, health-related or even trust barriers that limit their ability to join and benefit from these initiatives. Assessing these vulnerabilities often requires combining heterogeneous and sensitive data from multiple sources, which is difficult due to privacy constraints and the lack of reliable mechanisms to support decision-making. In this paper, we propose the potential role of Data Spaces as an infrastructure to enable fair and transparent decision-making in RECs. By allowing stakeholders to retain control over their data while enabling governed, policy-based access, Data Spaces make it possible to work with distributed data in a controlled and auditable environment. The approach is motivated by a real-world use case and illustrates how Data Spaces can support data-driven mechanisms for inclusive participation and benefit allocation in energy communities.
