📄 Abstract(原文)

Production forests play an important role as carbon reservoirs in global climate change mitigation efforts. This study aimed to identify tree, pole, and sapling level vegetation types, and to estimate biomass and carbon stock in the Production Forest area of Ambalodangge Village, South Konawe Regency, covering 1,545.96 ha. Primary data were collected through vegetation inventory on 15 sample plots of 20 m x 20 m, with biomass estimated non-destructively using an allometric approach. The results found 92 vegetation species at the tree, pole, and sapling levels with a total of 500 individuals, dominated by eha (Castanopsis buruana) and local teak (Tectona grandis). The average biomass per plot was 450.27 tons with an average carbon stock of 0.207 tons. Estimated biomass and carbon per hectare were 11,256.70 tons/ha and 5,178.08 tons/ha, respectively. The total carbon stock across the entire production forest area was estimated at 200,127,706.678 tons, with a total biomass of 435,060,229.219 tons. These findings confirm that the Ambalodangge Production Forest has substantial potential as a carbon reservoir, and its sustainability should be maintained to support climate change mitigation programs and sustainable forest management planning.
