📄 Abstract(原文)
This article critically examines the role of sustainable finance instruments, specifically Green Bonds (GBs) and Sustainability-Linked Bonds (SLBs), within the context of Ecological Modernization Theory (EMT). We analyze how these financial instruments align with the assumptions of EMT, namely the compatibility between economic growth and environmental sustainability through technological innovation and institutional change. The analysis reveals significant tensions between the stated objectives of these instruments and their actual effectiveness in promoting the ecological transition. We identify fundamental paradoxes, including the risk of greenwashing, the issue of economicenvironmental decoupling, and challenges of additionality and equity. We argue that, while GBs and SLBs represent important advances in mobilizing capital for sustainable projects, their effectiveness depends on robust regulatory changes, rigorous verification mechanisms, and a profound reconfiguration of economic growth logics. The article concludes by proposing a research agenda that integrates considerations of climate justice and planetary boundaries into the analysis of sustainable finance instruments.
