📄 Abstract(原文)
ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Investing a new and significant investment strategy that integrated objectives with ethical social, and environmental factors. In the Indian context, the millennial and young generation of investors have become more conscious about sustainable investment choices because of easy access to online platforms and rising concerns about environmental and social issues. The purpose of research is to investigate ?the perception and adoption of ESG Investing among the millennial and young investors in India?. The study relies on primary data obtained from a structured questionnaire survey among young investors from diverse demographic and economic profiles. The study concentrates on critical parameters such as awareness about ESG ideas, perception about sustainable investment, risk and return expectations, impact of ethical values, and availability of ESG investment products. Simple statistical methods like percentage analysis were employed to analyze the data. The results indicate that although there is an increasing trend in awareness about ESG investment among young investors, the adoption level is still moderate. The lack of appropriate knowledge, inadequate understanding of ESG ratings, return concerns, and a lack of guidance are the key factors that impede adoption. However, the results also indicate a positive perception about ESG investment among respondents, who are eager to invest if adequate information and transparency are provided. The results confirm the hypothesis that awareness and positive perception play an important role in the adoption of ESG investments. The study concludes that enhanced financial literacy, enhanced ESG disclosure, and ESG investment products can encourage young investors to adopt ESG investment, thus contributing to sustainable growth in India in the long run.
