📄 Abstract(原文)
This dataset addresses the cell-to-cell variability of new lithium iron phosphate cells from a commercial supplier used in off-grid energy storage applications in Sub-Saharan Africa. Cells used in such applications are often low-cost and poorly manufactured compared with Tier 1 cells. The dataset contains electrochemical and imaging-based battery health screening techniques for 39 (30 fresh cells and 9 aged cells) 26650 cylindrical LFP cells. 30 fresh cells have undergone electrochemical diagnostic cycles and X-ray computed tomography (XCT) imaging, and 9 additional cells have undergone cyclic ageing and X-ray CT imaging before and after ageing. The electrochemical diagnostic cycles and tomography data are collected from the same cell population, enabling multimodal analysis linking electrochemical behaviour with internal cell structure. An accompanying Python script is provided to quantify anode overhang geometry from XCT axial images. This dataset provides a resource for battery screening, degradation studies, diagnostics, image analysis, and data-driven modelling of low-cost LFP cells used in energy storage systems in developing regions.
