📄 Abstract(原文)

This study attempts to find the relationship between carbon footprint disclosure practices and sustainability initiatives on students' perceptions and enrollment decisions at Northwestern University (NWU), Philippines. Descriptive-correlational data analyses were chosen, and the data were gathered through a structured questionnaire from 2,195 presently enrolled students coming from different colleges. Awareness of sustainability initiatives, perception on carbon reduction practices, perception of ESG value, and green institutional image of NWU were some of the key variables studied. Although NWU is perceived to be quite environmentally friendly, technical initiatives like carbon tracking are moderately visible. Mediation analysis pointed out that the green image significantly mediates the relation between sustainability practices and enrollment decision. Students usually opt and recommend universities they honestly perceive as being environmentally conscious. The study established that sustainability strengthens institutional credibility and student engagement when conveyed well. It, thereafter, recommends increasing visibility, online engagement, and incorporating sustainability in strategic planning and student life.
