📄 Abstract(原文)
This thesis examines the feasibility and potential impacts of establishing a National Green Energy Bank (NEB) in the Kingdom of Bahrain as an independent institution to accelerate the nation's transition to green energy and sustainable economic growth. The research used a mixed-methods strategy utilizing secondary data, integrating qualitative analysis of global green banking frameworks with quantitative financial modeling to assess the proposed bank's feasibility and macroeconomic impact. This paper examines how the NEB could utilize Islamic finance instruments such as Mushārakah and Ijārah to attract capital from diverse sources and equitably distribute risk, ensuring that financial incentives align with sustainable development objectives. A robust policy and regulatory framework is essential. The Central Bank of Bahrain and other significant institutions endorse a National Green Finance Strategy. This framework has to establish explicit objectives for green financing, determine qualified projects, and provide tax incentives to enhance investor trust. The thesis proposes a stratified pathway for implementation encompassing setup, scaling, and maturation to equip institutions and engage the market. The NEB's activities align with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 7 and SDG 13. It reduces emissions and generates environmentally sustainable employment opportunities. The study emphasizes the significance of transparency and accountability, recommending that nations adhere to international reporting standards. The establishment of the NEB represents a significant advancement for Bahrain's sustainability objectives, the global battle against climate change, and the Kingdom's future, which will be increasingly sustainable and prosperous. Future research should examine the impact of many factors on individuals, gather qualitative data through expert interviews, and consider social and environmental concerns
