This paper analyzes how the credibility of corporate transition plans affects the pricing of sustainability-linked loans (SLLs) through syndicate participation. It shows that higher credibility leads to lower loan spreads and influences bank participation behavior. Empirical evidence reveals mechanisms through which credible transition plans reduce the cost of capital.
